Montgomery County

Although it was once part of Philadelphia County, Montgomery County became its own county on September 10, 1784. Over 200 years later, Montgomery County is the third most populated county in the State of Pennsylvania, with over 795,600 residents. There are miles of hiking trails and thousands of acres of parks to explore, in addition to numerous historical sites to visit throughout the County, such as the Peter Wentz Farmstead which once served as headquarters for General George Washington.
